Valentine is a dynamo – bursting with ideas and a passion for her land. She has been working with the walled garden and fields around Chateau de Courances, with the aim of growing enough fruit and vegetables “to feed Paris”. Amongst her many innovations she is developing large strips of agroforestry, trialling crop partnerships introducing legumes into cereal rotations, focusing on conservation agriculture incorporating wildlife hurdles and is a great follower of Perrine and Charles Herve-Gruyer at the Bec-Hellouin Farm in Normandy and Konrad Schreiber at the Institut d’Agriculture Durable.
