ON-FARM COMPOSTING: climate compost

It all starts with soil health. A functioning, healthy soil has the ability to sequester carbon as well as grow nutrient dense food, through microbial action. This is where Climate Compost plays a crucial role. Our compost inoculates soils with the organisms that build stable humus. Humus provides the single most efficient storage of water, minerals and carbon. Climate Compost has a compatible structure to soil, so provides a supportive, directly available supply of nutrition as well as providing the ‘home’ for microbes - the soils vital workforce.

There are many ways that we can improve our soil quality on our farms and in our gardens. The foundation for soil heath lies in increasing microbial activity in our soils. Soil microbe activity leads to better soil structure and therefore increased aggregation and availability of nutrition.

Our mission is to better on-farm composting, by working with farmers to create quality microbially rich compost for large scale application. We aim to educate and enable farmers and growers across the country.
