A Day of Dahlia and Propagation at Salthrop - Friday October 9, 2026

Enjoy a special day of learning about how to grow and cut dahlias from The Land Gardeners and have a Masterclass in Propagation from Kate Gatacre. All this in the surrounds of beautiful Salthrop, Sophie Conran’s stunning home and garden.

On this full day at Salthrop, Bridget and Henrietta will take you through a fantastic array of the best dahlias for borders and cutting, and give you all the information you need to get amazing results, from storing, planting, propagating, staking and cutting dahlias. 

A tour of the gardens will be followed by a delicious lunch cooked by Sophie Conran using ingredients grown in her lovely organic kitchen garden. 

After lunch, Kate Gatacre will guide you through the best methods for taking cuttings, and doing your autumn sowings, pricking out and potting on and you’ll get to take away the cuttings you take.

3.30pm Departure with your cuttings to take home
