Kay Baxter - NZ

Kay Baxter co-founded the Koanga Institute in 1997 where she works tirelessly to save heritage seeds alongside finding practical solutions for home gardeners.

Her work was the starting point for The Land Gardeners’ ambition to save our soils, and today, Koanga maintains and distributes New Zealand’s largest collection of Northern bio-region heritage fruit trees and a national heritage seed collection.

Teaching others how to grow chemical-free vegetables packed with nutrients and health benefits, Kay is a key source of inspiration guiding the way towards simple sustainable living.
