Valentine is a dynamo – bursting with ideas and a passion for her land. Working with the walled garden and fields around Chateau de Courances, she aims to
grow enough fruit and vegetables “to feed Paris”.
Among her many innovations she is developing large strips of agroforestry, trialling crop partnerships, such as introducing legumes into cereal rotations, and is focusing on conservation agriculture through features like wildlife hurdles.
Valentine is also a great follower of Perrine and Charles Herve-Gruyer at the Bec-Hellouin Farm in Normandy and Konrad Schreiber at the Institut d’Agriculture Durable.
